Quality Control for Medical Kits
EasyLogic was involved in a number of projects in the medical supplies business, where we use RFID to ensure full quality control of products before they are shipped to customers.
This concerns the production of medical test kits, containing tubes or pipettes of test liquid, swabs, needles, gloves, masks and other elements according to a “recipe”. Essential items are tagged with an RFID label, the presence or absence of other elements is verified using a precision weighing scale.
We used the EasyLogic Track and Trace system as the basis for the QC system. Recipes for test kits are defined, all changes are recorded and must be approved by a supervisor. Along the production line each operator needs to identify themselves with an RFID badge so that full traceability is ensured. The operator collects and scans the elements of the kit.
We implemented the ETT changes according to GAMP5 and 21 CFR part 11.
